EVENT FORMAT: Track time runs from 9 AM to 5 PM with break for lunch.  HPDE 1 & HPDE 2 share the same track sessions.  HPDE 4 and TT competitors share the same "unrestricted" passing track sessions.  HPDE & TT participants receive 4 track sessions per day...25 min ea. HPDE "Download Meetings" (de-briefing sessions) under the guidance of Group Leaders for H 1 & 2, H 3 and H 4 & TT drivers are held immediately following each group's first 3 track sessions per day.  Held for the purpose of resolving group issues from the previous track session and to create safer driving conditions by  group discussion.  Competition Race Groups receive 20 min warmup, 20 min qualifier and 35 min race session on Sat, and 20 min qualifier and 40 min race session on Sunday.  All race sessions to take part on the regular road course.  See registration page for more racer details.

Important Information:

1) Official NASA FL Hotel for this event: Holiday Inn Express    35200 S. Dixie Highway, Florida City$99 +tax/night Nov 5 & 6.  Limited rooms blocked off at this rate. You must CALL this number 305-247-3414 & ask for the "Homestead Miami Speedway" rate.

2) Directions to the track: View Google Map to HMS.....From US 1 turn East on SW 344th Street (Palm Drive) for about 3 + miles....When you see the Speedway, continue EAST on SW 344th Street along the south side of the Speedway.  Turn left into the competitor's entrance and get in line by the gate guard station for the vehicular tunnel into the paddock. 

3) Admittance to the paddock starts at 7 AM Saturday..no exceptions
Sorry, track manager will NOT allow "Trailer drops" or any access to the paddock on Friday.  

RV camping...PLEASE read this carefully:
Friday night: The track allows RV camping outside the paddock adjacent to the paddock entry gate guard station in the grassy area.  The paved roadway must be kept clear for 2 way traffic at all times. There is no charge for camping in this location but RV hookups are not available.  
Saturday night: Overnight RV camping inside the paddock on Sat (only) can be arranged under the following conditions set by the track mangement....You MUST inform the gate guard upon entry to the paddock on Sat morning to request overnight RV camping arrangements.  The track charges a fee of $25 and that fee will be collected by a track representative. Questions regarding RV hookups & paddock access hours on Sat after 7 PM should be addressed to the track respresentative before payment. Thank you! 

4) Paddock Parking: Tow-rigs and trailers are to be unloaded in the paddock area behind the pit structure. Pit garages are for the use of cars registered in the event. Arrive early to obtain a garage space....first come first serve.  A small section at the east end of the garages is reserved & marked for use of TW this event. Please...Only one garage space per registered car. Family and friends with vehicles must park in paddock area. Bring what you need to store & protect personal belongings. PDC, Inc, NASA & HMS assume no responsiblity for lost or stolen items. Be prepared in the case of rain or windy conditions. Event runs rain or shine. 

5) Paddock Rules: Maximum car speed in paddock is 10 mph. Use caution when re-entering the paddock after track sessions. (Parents NOTE!) No one without a valid state driver license may operate any mode of transportation in the paddock/pits/garage area. Skate boards, scooters without seats and in-line skates are not permitted in these areas by ANYONE. No alcoholic beverages allowed until track activities conclude each day. NO PETS!. Dispose of litter in trash cans and dispose of waste fluids in Garages 15 & 22.  Report any spills in garage area. Do not leave old tires at the track or YOU will be billed for removal.  Trailers/tow rigs/cars can be left overnight in paddock (at owner's risk) on Saturday night only. Secure loose items of value. No overnight RV camping in paddock. All participants must exit paddock by 7:00 PM ea day. Paddock gates are locked at 7 PM and there is no re-admittance to paddock overnight.

6) Proper Clothing: Crew members going beyond pit wall are required to wear long pants and enclosed shoes. HPDE drivers or anyone riding as a passenger must wear a Snell 1995 (SA 95; M95) or newer helmet, a sleeved (short sleeves ok) non-synthetic, (preferably cotton) shirt, long pants in a natural fiber, and enclosed shoes.   RACERS are required to upgrade helmet and clothing standards to those required as per current NASA CCR including flame resistant driver suit, driver shoes & gloves. 

7) Fuel: On site service will supply racing fuel. Hours will be announced at the Drivers Meeting. We recommend that you do NOT rely solely on this source for your fueling needs. Arrive with a full tank.  If you run out of fuel while on track, your day is over! 

8) Food: On site food concession will be open for lunch and food purchases for "limited hours".  Please support the food concession. BRING A COOLER with WATER!

10) Crew, guests, family members & spectators: Check-in and sign track waiver at guard station for entry to the paddock. No charge for admittance.  Name on a guest list is not needed.  An adult must supervise minors. No one under age 18 (other than registered driver)is allowed in the hot pits or pit wall.  Minors cannot go beyond pit garages. Driver entered in the event will be held responsible for the actions and conduct of their crew members and guests, and will be held liable for any damages caused by their crew members or guests. 

11) Track Damages/REPAIR /REPLACEMENT & CLEANUP: Damages that occur within HMS premises, whether on the road course or on HMS property, which require clean up, repair or replacement become the financial liability of the driver causing the damage.  Damages can include replacement or repair of items such as tire packs, armco, railings, fencing, soft walls, concrete barrier blocks etc. and cleanups that require bags of oil dry.  (Note: Track damages that require schedule delays and long track cleanups occur rarely, but incidents of this type CAN happen.  Know your limits and drive appropriately for current track conditions to help us avoid this situation.)

12) Passengers: Passenger registration is offered as a way for registered HPDE drivers to introduce a family member or friend to the HPDE driving experience.  Passengers may be registered in HPDE 2 & HPDE 3 sessions ONLY.  Passengers in HPDE 1 and HPDE 4 are ONLY NASA FL instructors or pre-approved private instructors registered in the event. Passenger registration is handled at the track the day of the event between the hours of 7:30 AM and 11 AM. Passenger must be age 18 & older. Snell 95 or newer helmet & proper clothing for the course required. Sorry..loaner helmets are not available. Passenger will obtain Wrist Band for admittance to the course after signing release and paying a non-refundable $30 passenger registration fee. NASA holds the driver solely responsible for the safety of their passenger.  Improper conduct while driving with a passenger will result in the loss of passenger priviledges.

13) NASA Cancellation Policies:
HPDE: Refund less $30 processing fee, with at least 7 days written notice in advance of the event, otherwise no refund or credit.  NO exceptions.  (No partial refunds for 2 day entries due to mechanical failure or any other reason...please prepare your car carefully.)   
RACE GROUPS: Full refund less $30 processing fee provided that you registered at least 12 days in advance of the event and you notify your NASA region within 5 days following the missed event.  Once the race car goes on track, all fees are non-refundable.

2. Pre-registered participants will be sent a follow up e-mail starting 2 weeks in advance of the event with confirmation of car number assigment and  further event info, tech form and release. Please contact barbara@drivenasa.com If you do not receive your e-mail confirmation by 7 days prior to the event.  If you need to request changes to your original entry please contact barbara@drivenasa.com in advance of the event to avoid delays and questions at the track.

2) NASA-TT (Time Trial) GROUP:  TT serves as the bridge between HPDE and Wheel to Wheel racing for advanced to expert (HPDE Group 4) level drivers.  TT is held in an unlimited, open passing track environment with other cars sharing the same track sessions.  Participants compete for series points and prizes for best lap time in their TT car class.  AMB timing transponder required.  TT license required. 

3) Competition RACE GROUP:  For qualified drivers with a current NASA competition racing license and fully prepared race car with rollcage and safety equipment required to participate as per current NASA CCR.  AMB Transponder required.
