Overnight RV camping is permitted in the PBIR camping area outside the front gates.
Electrical hookups are available for a fee.  Call (561)622-1400 for RV arrangements.

2) Directions to the track:  Google map directions.   PBIR is located near West Palm Beach Florida on Beeline Highway (SR 710) approx 15 min from Palm Beach Gardens. From the south take I-95 (exit 57B) or FL Turnpike (exit 109) to PGA Blvd, go west to SR 710, turn right, go 8.2 miles to track. From the north, take I-95 (exit 87B) or FL Turnpike (exit 116) to Indiantown Rd (SR 706), go west to SR710, turn left and go 3 miles.  Track will be on your left.  Allow ample driving time as traffic and early morning fog may cause delays. Arrive safely. 

PBIR GATE Entry Fee:  By special arrangement with PBIR, entry to the PBIR paddock for NASA is "no charge" between 7-8 AM (only) the weekend of our event. Starting at 8 AM each day PBIR will charge their track entry fee (approx $10-$20/person) for ANYONE entering the facility. NASA event organizers and officials have no control over the PBIR gate fee or the amount charged. You, your crew, family and guests can avoid this fee by arriving before 8 AM. Spread the word!

3) PBIR Paddock Parking:  Enrolled NASA driving participants should expect to park & unload in the open grassy areas of the paddock.  Parking space on the skid pad or any paved surface is limited and may not be available. Paddock roadways are narrow and must accomodate 2-way traffic at all times for safety reasons. Anyone obstructing traffic by parking or unloading on paddock roadways is in violation of PBIR rules and our lease agreement.  There is no covered parking. Bring what you need for shelter/shade and to store & protect personal belongings. PDC, Inc, NASA & PBIR assume no responsiblity for lost or stolen items. Be prepared in the case of rain or windy conditions. Event runs RAIN or SHINE. 

4) Paddock Rules: For your safety and for the safety of others in the paddock including families with minor aged children please be aware of the following rules: Maximum speed for all vehicles in the paddock is 10 mph.  Use extreme caution when re-entering the paddock after track sessions. (Parents note!) No one without a valid states driver license may operate ANY mode of transportation. NO RAZORS allowed.  Motorized scooters MUST have a seat and be operated by an adult at a speed not to exceed 10 mph.  Standing on the pit wall is not allowed.  No one under age 18 (other than registered driver) is permitted beyond the pit wall. No spectactors on pit lane.  No glass containers.  No consumption of alcoholic beverages until NASA track activities are concluded for the day.  Pitting on Skid Pad RULES: Canopy supports must be on wooden blocks.  NO STAKING in the asphalt. Oil spills on asphalt MUST be cleaned immediately. Violators to skid pad rules will be escorted from the property.

Where to go at PBIR.....for:
NASA Event info/questions- tent paddock central at the base of the timing/control tower.
NASA Racer Check in- tent at the base of the timing/control tower.
HPDE driver check in-TECH LINE- Pit lane.
Enter pit lane thru the access road on the right (south) side of the paddock...all traffic on pit lane is ONE WAY moving clockwise.
Classroom- Air conditioned hospitality tent-adjacent to skid pad.

5) RACE FUEL" semi is parked near drag strip, selling RACE FUEL only.  Open from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM & reopening at 4PM on SAT only.  No service on Sunday. Street cars can be fueled at a nearby gas station on SR 710 east of the track.  We recommend that you do NOT rely solely on these sources for your fueling needs. Arrive with a full tank. NOTE!  Plan your fueling needs before going on course. If you run out of gas while on track, your day is over! 

6) Food: The PBIR food concession will be open starting approx 10:00 AM.  Bring a cooler with WATER to stay hydrated.  

7) Track Attire: Shorts are permitted in the hot pits for non-driving officials and adult crew members. EVERYONE driving or riding on track during HPDE & TT sessions MUST wear long pants, a sleeved shirt (non-synthetic, preferrably 100% cotton) and enclosed shoes. HPDE & TT drivers need a properly fitting SNELL SA or M helmet years '95 or newer are ok.  Race group participants are required to upgrade track clothing requirements to a flame resistant driver suit, driver shoes, socks, gloves and Snell helmet & head and neck restraint device as per the rules for competition in the current NASA CCR (rule book).  It is recommended for all drivers to bring a change of clothes, shorts & extra T-shirt for their comfort between track sessions. 

8) Track Damages/REPAIR /REPLACEMENT  &  CLEANUP: Damages that occur within PBIR premises, whether on the road course or on PBIR property, which require clean up, repair or replacement become the financial responsibility of the driver who caused the damages.  Damages can include replacement or repair of items such as tire packs, armco, railings, fencing, soft walls, concrete barrier blocks etc. and cleanups that require bags of oil dry.  Driver entered in the event will be held responsible for the actions and conduct of their crew members and guests, and will be held liable for any damages caused by their crew members or guests. (Note: Track damages that require schedule delays and long track cleanups occur rarely, but incidents of this type CAN happen.  Know your limits and drive appropriately for current track conditions to help us avoid this situation.)

9) Passenger registration (allowed in HPDE 2 & HPDE 3 sessions) will occur on the day of the event.  Age 18 & older required. $30 registration fee per person. Helmet & proper attire for the course required. Loaner helmets are not available. Great way to introduce a friend to the fun of HPDE! 

10) NASA CANCELLATION Policy:
For HPDE & TT: 
Refund less $30 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice before the event, otherwise no refund or credit.  NO exceptions.  The last day HPDE cancellations for credit or refunds requests is Sat, August 28.

For RACE GROUPS: Entry fee is refundable minus $30 processing fee providing you registered at least 12 days in advance of the event and you notify NASA FL within 5 days following the missed event.  Once the car touches the track surface all fees are non-refundable for any reason.  

NASA Programs at this event:
1) HPDE- HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT  (non-competitive):

HPDE Instructors: Open to licensed NASA FL instructors or by pre-approved application.

HPDE Format: HPDE 1 & HPDE 2 share the same track sessions.  HPDE 4 and TT drivers share the same "unrestricted" passing track sessions.  HPDE & TT participants receive 4 track sessions each day...25 min ea (conditions permitting).  HPDE "Download Meetings" (de-briefing sessions) under the guidance of Group Leaders for H 1 & 2, H 3 and H 4 drivers are held immediately following each group's first 3 track sessions per day.... for the purpose of resolving group issues and to create safer driving conditions by group discussion.

2) NASA-TT (Time Trial) GROUP:  TT serves as the bridge between HPDE 4 and Wheel to Wheel racing.  TT competition is held in an open passing track environment with other cars sharing the same track sessions.  Participants compete for season points and individual awards by TT class.  AMB timing transponder required.  TT license required. Reference TT web site for participation requirements and related car classing form.

3) Competition RACE GROUP:  For qualified drivers with a current NASA competition racing license and fully prepared race car with rollcage and safety equipment required to participate as per current NASA CCR.  AMB Transponder required. Click RACING for related info.  Compete for regional points & trophies in the NASA FL sprint race series.  Thunder and Lightning RACE Group format: 2 race groups based on race series/classes with similar speed capablities. Race entry includes practice/qualify and one sprint race each day.
